Shirley retired from a 35-year accounting career in 2005, and enthusiastically looks forward to the next 35 years helping others attain wellness through nutrition. Shirley attended the Clayton College of Natural Health (CCNH) in Birmingham, Alabama, where she obtained her bachelors and masters degrees in nutrition sciences (Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition, MSHN) in 2004 and 2007, respectively. Shirley also achieved board certification from the American Naturopathic Foundation in 2007 (Certified in Nutritional Wellness, CNW).

Shirley and her husband Bill live in Colorado Springs, CO. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, and love to ride their bikes, walk, and otherwise revel in all of the beauty Colorado has to offer.
